Iza Smit is a designer based in Rotterdam, where she bridges the realms of design and sociology. Currently pursuing Graphic Design at the Willem de Kooning Academy and Sociology at Erasmus University College.
Her project approach is from a research-centric perspective, enabling her to delve into multifaceted social issues and capture them in her work. This is visible in bigger projects but also in smaller ways like documentation in her visual diary.
Iza has a passion for communication and research. Mixing creative research with academic research she aims to create work that not only informs but also challenges perspectives. By blending analytical rigor with artistic expression, she seeks to highlight complex societal dynamics and provoke meaningful dialogue.
Whether through collaborative projects, exhibitions, or personal explorations, Iza is committed to using design as a tool for storytelling, critique, and social change.
